Just browsing my dash, navigating through the rough seas of the endless ship wars and character hate when I come to realize that the RuroKen fandom is like the most peaceful fandom on the internet.

I think the fandom also reflects our love for Watsuki’s work, this manga that is about a man who loves peace but will protect his loved ones at all cost — and learns to do it using the least amount of violence as much as possible . :))

Eeyup. Though I doubt I could ever be listed as ‘peaceful’. ; v ;

I just think RuroKen fans really don’t have much to quarrel about. o n o I mean, the couples are clear cut, there’s so much loyalty to canon ships, that there’s hardly a problem at all.

And that too. Hehehe. :) Plus I kinda agree with somethinginreturn’s post…. Maybe most of the fandom’s too old… That hormonal outbursts are not much of a problem anymore ^_^;

Hehehe, 18 is quite young, for me anyway - with my 31 years of existence. ^_^

I’ve been on this fandom for 17 years, maybe that’s why. :)

= n =; Perhaps. My favorite RuroKen authors are probably around 30 now too. ; n ; Some have lives. And. And. I feel terribly sad when I think about it.

These days I rarely find a RuroKen fan my age. ; n ;

[ Gets weepy. Side note, tweens and teens hitting hormonal stage and liking Rurouni Kenshin is bad idea because then you’re all like ‘kill people’ ‘n stuff…>.> ]

I think because of the movie, the fervor will resurface again. And this story is timeless. I’ve read it for the first time when I was 14, have reread it numerously throughout the years, and when I read it again at 30, I still fell in love with it - I’m back to the giggly, all-feels teenager that I was for my OTP but with a broader outlook and view of the story and the characters’ interactions.

I was more understanding of Enishi’s plight (although I don’t condone it at all)…. And most importantly - I understood Kenshin’s decisions and actions more - which is a big part of the heart of the manga. :) And maybe the other teenagers and young adults will already see it as such…. After all, maturity is not determined by age at all. :)

I’m happy to know that there are fans that are as young as you…. That appreciate RK this well. I couldn’t say much for myself - tumblr was not yet existing that time … And me and my sister’s only self-check was each other. :))

Hehehe. :) There are a few issues like resurfacing Kaoru vs. Tomoe debate, but generally, the fandom agrees…. or quietly disapproves? ^_^ Anyhoo, compared to other fandoms I’ve treaded on, ours is quite logical when it comes to “arguments or textual exchange of opinions.” :) Plus I kinda agree with somethinginreturn’s post…. Maybe most of the fandom’s too old… That hormonal outbursts are not much of a problem anymore ^_^;

You come from a situation where you killed your wife (the one thing you wanted to protect) because she threw herself in front of you to protect you from your assailant, and here’s another woman you’ve been living with, and by this time probably started having romantic feelings for her, doing practically the same thing! I’m honestly surprised that he wasn’t rougher in pushing Kaoru out of the way.
